Altair Signs Reseller Agreement with Symetri UK to Supply Revolutionary Structural Analysis Solution Across the Country

Altair, (Nasdaq: ALTR) a global technology company providing solutions in product development, high-performance computing and data analytics, today announced it has signed a new reseller agreement with the UK division of Symetri, expanding the reach of the revolutionary structural solver, Altair SimSolid™, to the UK’s engineering and design community.

Symetri UK is part of the Addnode Group, Europe’s leading provider of software and services for design and engineering activities and works with companies across the UK, tailoring digital BIM, product design and lifecycle solutions to help product development teams work smarter and do more with less and deliver products to market faster. The addition of Altair Altair SimSolid™ to Symetri UK’s simulation portfolio will be a significant benefit to the CAD user community, enabling non-simulation specialists to perform a highly accurate structural and thermal assessment of designs without the need to mesh or simplify CAD geometry.

As part of the agreement, Symetri UK will supply Altair SimSolid™ to organisations throughout the UK, providing training and technical support directly to the rapidly expanding userbase.

“With Symetri UK joining our reseller community, we will benefit hugely from its experience and technical proficiency working with some of the country’s leading design teams. I am confident that Symetri UK will be a highly successful partner, with Altair SimSolid™ already making waves in with designers and design engineers,” said Dr Royston Jones, Managing Director of Altair UK.

Altair SimSolid is a virtual testing environment and structural analysis solution developed specifically for rapidly evolving design processes. It enables the analysis of extremely complex and fully-featured CAD assemblies on a desktop-class computer, providing accurate results in seconds to minutes. SimSolid supports all typical connections (bolt/nut, bonded, welds, rivets, sliding) and analysis of linear static, modal, thermal properties, along with more complex coupled, nonlinear, transient dynamic effects. Providing the simulation power to help quicker engineering decisions, it aids the development of quality products faster to beat competitors to market.

“We are excited to partner with Altair on this revolutionary technology,” said John Bartle, Director at Symetri UK. “We are seeing first-hand how the role of simulation in the product design process across industry is changing from a simple verification tool to an innovation driver best used at the very beginning of the design process. With Altair SimSolid™, the design teams in our clients can perform an upfront assessment in a matter of seconds, without having to rely on dedicated simulation specialists.”

Simsolid is a gamechanger within the upfront design simulation market that requires no need for meshing thus eliminating the need for model simplification. All this leading you to obtain results a lot quicker than traditional methods. To find out more about how you can benefit from the use of SimSolid within your workplace please contact us.
